Winners of the 96th Grey Cup in 2008, the Calgary Stampeders defeated the Montreal Alouettes 22-14 in front of the second largest crowd in Grey Cup history, with 66 308 spectators taking in the action. This stunning Calgary Stampeders Grey Cup Championship ring was presented to Reggie Williams. Large and substantial size 9, it has an approximate weight of 56 grams. With familiar stampeding horse on the face, an image of the Grey Cup has been placed above and it’s been packed with diamonds. More diamonds of varying sizes surround the central image and total 65, and their flanked with 4 red stones. With 19 diamonds at the top, one shank has “Williams” above with a football below that contains the CFL logo as well as 6 diamonds. Surrounded by “Calgary Stampeders”, it has Williams position and number below with “WR-89”. The opposite shank has 19 diamonds at the top with “Grey Cup Champions” and “2008” above with an image of the host venue Olympic Stadium beneath finished by the game’s score “22-14”. In gorgeous condition, it just shows normal wear commensurate with its intended use. The inner band has “Intergold 10K” and a lengthy inscription which states in full “Men we got them right where we want 'em". A worthy addition for any advanced championship ring or Grey Cup collection. This ring will come in an attractive two-tone wooden box.
For complete accuracy it should be mentioned that according to our consignor, the accompanying box for this Reggie Williams' 2008 Calgary Stampeders Grey Cup Championship 10K gold and diamond ring was included when it was purchased directly from Reggie Williams.
