Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
One of the most famous images ever taken in the sport of hockey, the 1970 Bobby Orr flight photo compares with both Paul Henderson’s winning goal and the Rocket shaking hands with Sugar Jim Henry in 1952 in regards to importance. This 16” x 20” photo of Orr’s overtime winning goal has been signed by both Orr and Glenn Hall. Each has signed beneath his respective image in blue marker, and both signatures are large and without fault. In very good condition with just normal handling wear, a stamp appearing on the back reads “Courtesy of the Boston Herald”. Accompanying this famous image is a matted 4” x 6” photo, possibly from a magazine, of Bill Mosienko. Bill has signed above his image in pen, and the signature shows no issues.
