The first to reach the milestone of 500 career goals, Maurice Richard accomplished the feat late in 1955. 41 others have since reached the plateau that is seen as the benchmark for hockey greatness. This framed 11 ½” x 15” “Parlons Sports” newspaper from January 7th 1956 features The Rocket waving and holding his 500th career goal puck, and he’s signed the paper with his number across his right arm in black felt marker. With just associated handling wear visible including a few small tears near the top and middle, the piece displays beautifully. Matted and framed to total dimensions of 24” x 27”, this display piece is perfect for any Richard, Habs or 500 goals club collection.
