Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
With impressive gold medal wins over the US for both the men’s and women’s teams, the 2002 Olympics was the start of a Canadian hockey dynasty that has seen the national teams winning 5 out of a possible 6 gold medals since. This large framed photo taken by Denis Brodeur features both Wayne Gretzky and Martin Brodeur during the Olympics, with both holding Martin’s gold medal. Both are all smiles, with Wayne looking dapper in his Team Canada Roots jacket. Each has signed over their respective image with Martin’s signature in black, and Wayne’s in gold, chosen to contrast the background. With no condition issues to note, the central image is 16” x 18” and framed to larger dimensions of 22” x 24”.
