Albert “Battleship” Leduc, after eight years with the Canadiens, had actually been sold to Ottawa just prior to the 1933-34 season and is described on the back of his O-Pee-Chee rookie card as “An outstanding forward player of exceptional ability.” An outstanding specimen of exceptional quality is this particular example of card #46, its NM 7 mark received from PSA experts ranking it high on the company’s famous Population Report. It is second to only one at PSA, with a single NM-MT 8 having been recorded. This Pop-9 is among 56 which have been encapsulated by PSA since the firm started up.
