From Swedish goaltender Tommy Soderstrom is this game-used Sher-Wood stick he blocked shots with in the 1990s, although we’re not sure exactly what team he was with at the time. Soderstrom, aside from two different stints with Djurgardens IF Stockholm, suited up in the 1990s with Philadelphia and the Islanders, along with the AHL Hershey Bears and Rochester Americans and the IHL Utah Grizzlies. This gamer has his original blade and knob tape, plus green and white on the tapered area above the paddle. Marks line this stick, wear shows on the bottom of the blade, “Soderstrom” is stamped on the upper shaft with “30” handwritten on next to it, and Tommy has covered the blade tape with his handwriting as “To Brian, you’re the best and nicest visiting trainer in the world. Hope to see you in Sweden. Your friend Tommy Soderstrom #30. Be happy & smile”.
