Peter Sidorkiewicz’s intriguing game-worn jersey is his early-1980s Washington Capitals No. 33 gamer. Sidorkiewicz was drafted 91st overall by Washington in the fifth round of the 1981 NHL entry draft. According to him, he was called up as a junior in the early-1980s and dressed as the Capitals’ backup goalie for a few games. This type of jersey, with the larger Maska hem logo, was worn by the Capitals in 1981-82 and 1982-83. Maska Ultrafil tagging sits in the back of the neck and the long cloth fight strap loop remains intact inside the back. Peter signed the jersey in black marker on the tail. Comes with Peter Sidorkiewicz’s signed LOA.
The jersey has a few light marks, including a vertical black mark that runs between the “NG” in the red thread embroidered “Washington” on the right front, a light black mark on the bottom of the red twill hockey-stick “t” in the Capitals logo on the front, and a small horizontal black mark on the red portion of the front tail. There are faint marks on the upper and lower parts of the blue twill of the right “3” on the double twill numbers sewn on the back.
