Goalie Peter Sidorkiewicz’s 1989 IIHF World Championships silver medal and his Team Canada game-worn jersey are featured in this lot of his memorabilia from the international tournament in Sweden. Also included is Peter’s team-signed Louisville game-used stick autographed by 24 ,including HOFers Messier, Fuhr, Stevens, Yzerman, Hawerchuk and Anderson. All of the graphics and numbers on Sidorkiewicz’s red and white mesh Canada game-worn jersey are sublimated, including the surname letters on the sewn-on nameplate. Tackla and size XXL flag tags remain in the back of the neck. Rounding out the lot are Stockholm 1989 medallion, lapel stick pin, Viking mascot figurine, plastic button and key chain. Comes with Peter Sidorkiewicz’s signed LOA
Peter is listed as having appeared in one game for 25 minutes during the 1989 world championships. His Team Canada 1989 jersey has a few marks that could be from game wear or from practices. There are some unknown stains on the lower hem;
The IIHF World Championship silver medal has “1989” on the clasp and comes with its original yellow and blue presentation ribbon;
Sidorkiewicz’s 1989 Team Canada game-used stick has a blacked out paddle with paint covering the Louisville logo. There is a “Dec 20 1988” date stamp on the back of the shaft, which has a “Sidorkiewicz” stamp. Messier has signed in ballpoint on Peter’s taped knob. The other autographs were placed on a long strip of white tape along the shaft beginning with Dineen, Fuhr, Anderson and Sidorkiewicz, and followed by the likes of Bellows, Hawerchuk, MacLean, Marois, Ferraro, Ellett, Daneyko, Muller, Patrick, the late John Ferguson, Yzerman, Gallant and Stevens, among others.
