Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Six sticks game-used by players who have all suited up for the Montreal Canadiens are available here, including examples used by LeClair, Turgeon, Recchi, Damphousse (2) and Claude Lemieux. Also included is a Bauer Supreme model stick that was issued to Saku Koivu, and he’s signed the bare blade in blue sharpie.
1 – Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model stick game-used by John LeClair. With the original gauze-style tape on the shaft, the tape has been removed from the blade so that John could place a big flowing black marker signature. The upper shaft and the underside both have “LeClair” in factory graphics. With good game-use showing with wear to the shaft’s edges, the blade has bent/warped over time.
2 – Titan 8500 model stick game-used by Claude Lemieux. Stamped “Lemieux” on the upper shaft, the original tape remains on the knob, with the blade having been freed up so that Claude could add an attractive large signature. Good game-use is noticeable on the shaft.
3 – Victoriaville 9050 model stick game-used by Pierre Turgeon. With the original white tape on the knob including handwritten “77”, and stamped “P. Turgeon” on the upper shaft, decent game-use is noticeable with a few dark marks. Pierre had augmented the stick with a large but somewhat faded signature across the blade.
4 – Vic 9050 model stick game-used by Mark Recchi. Stamped “Recchi” on the upper shaft, the original gauze-style tape remains on the knob with handwritten “8”, with the blade tape being removed and replaced with a blue sharpie Recchi autograph.
5 – Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model stick game-used by Vincent Damphousse. Original gauze-style tape on the knob with handwritten “25”, the blade does have its tape in place, but it has broken off and will accompany. With “Damphousse” on the upper shaft in factory graphics, the stick shows just light use.
6 – Sher-Wood PMP 5030 model stick game-used by Vincent Damphousse. Original red gauze-style tape on the knob with handwritten “25”, additional electrical tape has been applied midway up to repair a large shaft crack. Stamped “Damphousse” on the upper shaft, the tape has been removed from the blade so that Vincent could place a thin and faded black marker autograph.
