Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
This CCM Edmonton Oilers jersey was game-worn by Buchberger in 1990-91. With Maska Air-Knit tag in collar with handwritten size "54" and added handwritten “90/91 2” nearby, additional CCM and NHL crests adorn the back bottom hem. Game-wear is immediately apparent with a number of random black puck marks on both sleeves and front, as well as at least 5 team repairs including a massive winding 11” example where the garment was literally ripped from the front bottom all the way up and even through the bottom section of the team crest! The fight strap is still firmly attached, and a second shoelace-style strap has been added right beneath.
Addendum; Please take note that the massive 11” repair from the front bottom all the way up and even through the bottom section of the team crest was actually done recently by the same company who has been doing the Oilers team repairs for many years and is not a vintage team repair.
