Classic team pictures hailing various championship and other pro and amateur squads were done up for CCM, with duplication here providing several options to the new owner. Grey border pics include two each of the 1932-33 Rangers, Maple Leafs and Moncton Hawks, along with one of Newmarket. Two complete sets of (12) maroon border (1933-34) pictures are led by the all-stars in the Ace Bailey Benefit Game, while ten different green border examples from the following year include individual shots of Boucher, Conacher, Chabot and Foster Hewitt, to go along with team photos of, notably, the Maple Leafs, Bruins and Maroons. Nine blue border pictures include seven different (dupes of the Leafs, Wings), with condition and final details of this extensive stash available on our website.
Two similar-size cardboard inserts which were originally sent along with the team pictures are blue-tinted and feature Foster Hewitt promoting CCM skates, while a paper sheet picturing the 1935-36 champion Detroit Red Wings, Kimberly Dynamiters and West Toronto Nationals also pitches the company’s blades. Displaying nicely in two binders, the pictures measure 8-3/4” by 11-1/4” and are generally free of any real unsightly flaws. Almost standard light bends are spotted upon close inspection of several, but again, the collection is in nice collectible condition. One of the Bailey Benefit Game pictures exhibits some not-too-detracting reddish staining and minor warping. All-in-all, a wonderful trip back in time to the pre-war era.
