This pair of game-used sticks comes from two goalies that were instrumental to their team’s success throughout the 1990s. First we have a Hespeler Signature-Series model stick that was game-used by Mike Vernon while he was with either Detroit or Calgary. With the original red tape on the blade and shaft/knob, “M. Vernon” is stamped mid-way up the shaft, and the stick shows good game-use with a plethora of puck marks scattered all over the blade as well as some chipping to the paddle. The second stick available in this lot is a Louisville TPS Gold model example game-used by Curtis Joseph, most likely during his time with the St. Louis Blues. With the tape on the blade and knob in place, “C. Joseph” is stamped just above the paddle, with most of it being covered in tape. Game-use is visible in the form of a number of puck marks to the taped section of the blade as well as a few other random marks further up the paddle and shaft.
