Remarkable vintage NHL award plaque is the original one which was presented to Montreal Canadiens goalie Rogatien Vachon for his Georges Vezina Trophy win in 1967-68. Rogie shared the Vezina with HOFer Gump Worsley as the formidable twosome provided the Canadiens with the league's lowest goals-against-average while splitting the Habs' goaltending duties in the first year of expansion. Vachon posted a 2.48 goals-against-average and a 21-15-2 mark with 4 shutouts in 39 games for Montreal, which went on to win its third Stanley Cup in four years. This gorgeous display piece features a heavy bronze plaque which is mounted onto an 11 3/4" x 11 1/2" wood plaque. An NHL shield is raised bronze adorns the top of the plaque. "Georges Vezina Trophy" and "Rogatien Vachon, Montreal 'Canadiens' 1967-68" are engraved on plates mounted on the bronze plaque beneath where "Annual Award" and "Won By" appear in raised letters, respectively. This vintage Vezina Trophy plaque remains in excellent condition overall and was originally obtained from Rogatien Vachon's personal collection.
