HOF left wing Frank Mahovlich played a huge role in the Montreal Canadiens’ 1971 and 1973 Stanley Cup titles. The Big M’s circa 1971-72 Habs Victoriaville game-used stick retains his original tape jobs on the blade and knob, with “27 F Mahovlich” stamped on the front of the shaft. The date “2/13/72” is handwritten on the shaft, which is missing the two bands of accent stripes on either end of Victoriaville Pro. Nice game use shows in black marks and a chipped upper edge of the blade’s toe.
“Special Order Model” is stamped on the top edge of the shaft with “Fiberglass Patented 1960 #591454 Made in Canada” lower on the shaft. “Victoriaville Hockey Sticks Ltd.” is stamped on both sides of the shaft.
