Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Obtained directly from Sidney Crosby, this Reebok game-used stick was wielded by Sid the Kid in a Pittsburgh Penguins game against Tampa Bay just over a month after he scored his gold medal-winning goal for Canada at the 2010 Olympics. Sid's Reebok Sickick II gamer has "S. Crosby 2" factory printed on the front of the shaft below his nicely-worn white tape job with his number "87" written in black marker on the front of the knob. A Frameworth hologram sticker is affixed to the front of Crosby's black tape job near the toe of the blade, which has a chip on the top edge. A sticker low on the back of the shaft has the date and result of the game, a 2-0 loss to the Lightning on March 31, 2010. Comes with a Frameworth COA.
Crosby won the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2009-10. He also shared the Maurice Richard Trophy when he scored a career-high 51 goals to tie for the league lead with Tampa Bay’s Steven Stamkos.
