Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Forever remembered for his aggressive and sometimes violent play, Ron Hextall has been very influential to the game with no less a figure than Martin Brodeur having adopted his mobile style, and puck handling/shooting abilities. This Vic Pro model goal stick was used by the Brandon Manitoba native during his heyday with the Philadelphia Flyers in the mid-to-late-1980s. Stamped “R. Hextall” and “Made in Canada”, the original tape remains on the knob while the tapeless blade has some yellow staining/discoloration. The striping sticker shows wear, and is still in place just above the top of the paddle. We must stress that there are no definitive signs that the blade ever had Hextall’s black tape job.
