All-Star goalie Roberto Luongo’s New York Islanders game-worn jersey is from his 1999-2000 rookie season. Luongo, who was drafted fourth overall by the Islanders in 1997, had two Olympic gold medals with Canada in 2010 and 2014 in his future when he wore this No. 1 jersey with the “NHL 2000” patch on the right breast as a rookie in his only season with the Islanders. Cutting Edge Sports New York Islanders 1999-2000 Season Set #2 team stamp sits on the inner hem of the left rear tail. The CCM and NHL logos are embroidered on the right rear tail. Game wear includes a black mark on the orange band on the front of the left sleeve. Comes with an Islanders LOA and a MeiGray COR.
There is a mark on the Islanders crest on the navy blue background below the left side of the “N” in “NY” and damage to some of the orange threads in the lower middle of the embroidered image of Long Island on the team crest. CCM Goalie Style and size 58 flag tags in the back of the collar are sewn over by nameplate stitching.
