Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Spending a trio of season in the WHL with New Westminster before being drafted by Edmonton in 1984, Todd Ewen skated for four different NHL clubs during his career, winning a Stanley Cup with Montreal, in 1993. This Canadiens jersey was issued to the Saskatoon native in 1990-91. A Maska Ultrafil label with handwritten “54” sizing graces the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “36” appears over the sleeves and verso in blue-over-red tackle twill, with “Ewen” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Listed as game-issued on the accompanying LOA, the collar remains crisp and the fight strap is clean (no rust/salt), but we do spot 4 or 5 very small marks on the jersey (including over each sleeve), so it is possible that it may have been worn for a game or two. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, a signed LOA from Rejean Houle will accompany.
