Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
The one and only Martin Brodeur certainly knows what it’s like to wear the jersey of his native country Canada. He’s been a 4-time Olympian and 2-time Olympic gold medallist, he’s suited up for Canada in the World Championships where he would hang silver around his neck on 2 different occasions, and he would also taste gold at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. Offered are 2 Team Canada souvenir jerseys, a red example with “Brodeur” and “30” stitched on the back, with collar tagging showing it to be a Nike size “52” (with a handwritten “21” in pen on the collar tag), capped off by Marty signing the right breast in clear black marker. We also have a white Team Canada jersey, tagged in the collar as a Nike (size) “M” (with a handwritten “21” on it), and although this jersey, also in excellent condition, has no number or nameplate on the back, has Marty’signature on the right breast in clear and bold black marker. Two excellent Team Canada jerseys in wonderful condition with just a trace of tobacco scent, both nicely signed by the great goaltender.
