Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Originally from the personal collection of Soviet defenseman Vasily Pervukhin, who amassed an incredible haul of international hockey gold during his lengthy career with the powerhouse squad which dominated the world stage throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Included here are 4 of Vasily's Soviet Union medals - his 1975, 1979, and 1981 European Championships gold medals, and his 1977 World Championships bronze medal. The 4 treasures are almost flawless (the ’77 bronze is missing the clasp at the top), and 2 - the ’81 gold and ’77 bronze, have their distinctive blue and yellow ribbons in place. Outstanding.
Three of the medals – the 1979 and ’81 gold and the ’77 bronze, measure 2 ¾” in diameter, while the 1975 gold, which comes with the bottom part of its original box, measures just under 2” in diameter.
