Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Cool Northland goalie stick was used by goalie-turned-TV commentator John Garrett when he was stopping pucks for the Hartford Whalers during the late-1970s/early-‘80s. With original black blade tape and white knob tape, this uncracked gamer has “Garrett” stamped on the upper shaft, 2 different sets of numbers are stamped on near the middle of the shaft, and puck marks and touches of red paint transfer are scattered about. To note, the tape on and near the heel has worn off. Lining the stick are approximately 20 signatures in either green or red marker from what most likely is a World Championship squad, including the likes of Rod Gilbert, Phil and Tony Esposito, Guy Charron, Jim Rutherford, Eric Vail, Ron Ellis, and many more, with most signatures clear and bold, if not always legible (although many are). Very fine Northlands/Garrett gamer that comes with an LOA from Classic Auctions.
