Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Always a classic when Big Apple rivals N.Y. Rangers and N.Y. Americans clashed, but on the night of March 12, 1933, the Rangers, led by the Cook brothers and Billy Boucher, would have no problems as the Blueshirts handed Red Dutton and rest of the Americans a sound 8-2 throttling. We have a program from this night at Madison Square Garden, measuring 9” x 12” and with all 50 pages completely intact and unmarked, although the front and back covers have split and remain loose. Regardless, there’s a ton of reading, not only about the 2 New York squads but other league news as well. With a cool illustration on the cover of players from the 2 teams, it’s a unique program, particularly with the long-defunct Americans involved.
