Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
Older hockey fans will remember these from their youth, a time when they or their buddies skated on ponds and outdoor rinks, pretending to be the Rocket or Beliveau scoring the winner in the seventh game of the Stanley Cup Finals. Offered is an awesome and heartwarming lot of 4 Montreal Canadiens kids wool turtleneck-style jersey/sweaters from the 1950s and ‘60s, complete with an accompanying toque and an original sweater box. All 4 remain in remarkable, like-new condition with bright coloring and no holes or frays, with the all-important CH crests also showing no issues. Absolutely beautiful 60-year old gems, marked as sizes 28, 32, and 34, and the 1 unmarked sweater looking to be either a 32 or a 34. The vintage wool toque remains in excellent condition as well, and capping it all off is the rare and original box displaying “Sliknit Famous Sortswear (Made in Canada)” and player illustrations, in decent condition with torn corners and denting. He shoots, he scores!
