Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2015
From the personal collection of Guy Carbonneau is this great Soviet watch, which, according to Carbonneau, was presented to him as the MVP of a game between the Canadiens and a Russian team in the late-1980s, early-1990s (possibly during the Canadiens 1990 series of games in Russia, although Carbo and the Habs faced off against the Russians on other occasions as well). The watch, in its original box, is a colorful red, white and blue affair with “Hockey Stars of the USSR” printed on the face, along with Cyrillic script on the edge. In beautiful, unworn condition, this “Slava” watch includes a watch information sheet signed on the reverse by Carbonneau and comes with an LOA from Guy.
