From the defunct 1983 to ’87 United States Football League (USFL) comes four game-worn jerseys, beginning with Bill Cesare’s red, white, and blue New Jersey Generals gamer from circa 1983-85. Tagged on the hem as a “Champion XL”, with a “4” extra length” flap attached, this gamer with the rubberized numbers (44) and letters shows a small unrepaired hole on both sleeves and another on the front. Next up is a Mike Morini N.J. Generals white # 65 gamer from 1985, and which shows the back nameplate to be switched around with Morini’s name applied. This gamer shows marks on both sleeves and on the back, and is tagged on the hem as a “Champion size L”, with an adjoining “4 extra length” flap. The third gamer is from #61 James Farr of the Washington Federals, worn during the 1984 season, which the second of only two years of the franchise’s existence. It’s a heavy-mesh white with green and black trim, and has rubberized numbers and letters, along with a “Russell Athletic size 52” patch sewn on the hem. This gamer shows marks on the front, shoulders, and sides. Last but not least is from the Tampa Bay Bandits, a franchise active from 1983 to ’85, with this gamer belonging to #50 James Harrell from the ’84 or ’85 season. Tagged on the hem as a “Speedline XXL”, this gamer, with the tackle twill nameplate, shows lots of game-wear including marks on the collar and scattered about, with a substantial amount of paint flaking on the rubberized numbers and stripes.
