Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Attractive Czech National Team jersey worn by d-man Rudolf Suchanek in 1983-84, the only year the Czechs would wear this style of jersey, a mostly mesh affair produced by the Tibas company of Sweden with the company's tag in the inner hem and the Tibas logo screened on the left breast. Czechoslovakia's team logo is screened on the front while the numbers on the back and sleeves, along with "Suchanek" on the knit nameplate are heat-pressed. The striping at the bottom is a stretchy knit material and exhibits game use with half a dozen black stick marks to go along with a couple of burns and some red paint on the right sleeve and more red on the rear hem. Suchanek played on the Czech National Team during the 1984 Sweden Cup when he scored the last goal ever on the legendary Soviet netminder and HOFer Vladislav Tretiak.
