Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Winger Gaetan Duchesne, who enjoyed 1028 regular season games in the big leagues with Florida, Minnesota, Quebec, San Jose, and Washington, signed his game-worn Quebec Rafales gamer that he donned during his stint with IHL club after his NHL days had come to a close. Duchesne, who was a player-assistant coach for the minor league club, shockingly passed away in 2007 at only 44 years old. Tagged in the collar as a size “56”, this Duchesne gamer shows nice game wear, with marks scattered about the front and on both sleeves, while puckering is evident on the team crest. Duchesne’s signature, just above the crest, is in clear black marker, and along the hem are the embroidered labels of “Bauer” and “IHL”. The Rafales, originally based in Atlanta and called the Knights, relocated to Quebec City in 1996 but folded after just two seasons.
