Of the NHL GMs who once actually played the game, San Jose boss Doug Wilson was as good as they get, patrolling the blueline for 14 seasons in Chicago where he won the Norris, and two final seasons with the brand new San Jose Sharks in which he brought instant credibility. Offered is Wilson's 1991-92 inaugural season Sharks game-worn Captain's jersey, with a Maska Air-Knit tag in the collar showing a handwritten "24-3" in red marker on it, with evidence of the nearby size tag cut off. This gamer has the "75th" anniversary patch sewn on the right breast, and Wilson has signed the fight strap with black marker as "Ken All the Best, Doug Wilson 24". As far as game-wear goes, we see a team repair and a few marks, all on the front. An important gamer from a great d-man. Wilson's playing days totalled 1024 regular season games, scoring 237 goals and adding 590 assists. In 1998 he was honored in Ottawa, where he enjoyed a stellar junior career, by having his number 7 jersey retired, and was inducted into the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame. He was also inducted into the Chicago Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
