Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

All-Star Tom Lysiak's mid-1970s Atlanta Flames game-worn jersey displays fantastic game wear including team repairs! Lysiak is the Atlanta Flames all-time leader in points (431) and assists (276), and his 155 goals with Atlanta from 1973-79 are second only to Eric Vail's 174. Rawlings size 46 tagging remains in the back of the neck of this heavy knit gamer with a garter-style fight strap, and there is a evidence of a former nameplate, probably added for televised games. Game wear includes team repairs on the left sleeve and lower back and interior pilling and fraying on the elbows. There are reddish-brown stains on the upper front and back of this classic gamer worn by the Atlanta Flames' all-time scoring leader. The placement of the sewn-on numbers low on the back and on the sleeves looks quite similar to a 1975-76 photo of Lysiak, though it is not a photo-match.
