Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Deep rich colors and a look at an early Montreal Canadiens' sweater are featured in this tobacco card treasure picturing Habs' inaugural game hero George "Skinner" Poulin. Born in Smith Falls, Ontario, Skinner scored two goals including the game-winner as the Canadiens edged Cobalt 7-6 in their first game ever on January 5, 1910! Card #24 is one of six graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, with just three others out of 65 in total receiving a higher grade.
