Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Bobby Hull and longtime U.S. Ivy League hockey coach Edward Jeremiah were awarded the Lester Patrick Award in 1969 for “Outstanding Service to Hockey in the U.S.”, and The Golden Jet, along with HOFers Eddie Shore (inducted 1947, deceased 1985) and Boom Boom Geoffrion (inducted 1972, deceased 2006), signed the front of the Patrick Awards Dinner program that took place in New York on February 18, 1969. Mr. Jeremiah had passed away two years prior, in 1967. This dinner program measures 8” x 13”, and on the inside mentions the recipients of the previous 3 years and the list for the evening which included the welcome, toastmaster, introductions, awards, and Hull’s acceptance. On the back are players and their positions from the U.S. All-America Team from ’68-69. The Hull, Shore and Geoffrion signatures are clear and crisp in blue ballpoint pen, while the program is in nice condition with a crease running down the middle, more noticeable on the back than on the front, and doesn’t take away at all from the overall nice condition of the piece.
