The Detroit Red Wings won their first Stanley Cup in 1936 at the end of the franchise's 10th NHL season. This fantastic Detroit Olympia 1936 Stanley Cup Playoffs program is from Game 2 of the final, a 9-4 Red Wings win over Toronto. Pencil notations include the date (4/7/36) and start time (8:30 PM) of the game on the cover and goals by period beside both the Maple Leafs and Red Wings rosters on the lineup centerfold. Complete 20-page program, including the front and back covers, is very nicely preserved with a light vertical fold crease. Program measures 10 3/4" x 7 3/4". Detroit dropped Game 3 two nights later in Toronto before taking the best-of-five series in four games with a 3-2 win at Maple Leaf Gardens on April 11 to claim the Cup.
