Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/25/2014
Awesome piece of original Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins and Stanley Cup history is this Ottawa Auditorium game program from the 1927 final, the first time the Cup was ever contested by two NHL teams! Complete 8-page affair with "World Series, Boston vs. Ottawa" billed on the cover photo of the inside of the old Auditorium features inset photos of members of the Senators and roster centerfold with Shore, Hitchman, Frederickson and Oliver in the Boston lineup and an all-HOF Ottawa lineup of Connell, Clancy, Boucher, Nighbor, Hooley Smith and Denneny, with Jack Adams as a sub. Undated program is from either Game 3 or Game 4, which saw the Senators clinch the Cup. The program is nicely preserved with obvious handling and measures a shade under 9x6 with a vertical fold crease in the middle. There are inset pictures of Connell and Nighbor inside the front cover, with Kilrea and Finnigan opposite them on page 1. Adams is pictured alone with ads on the second page while Clancy, Boucher, Smith and Denneny are opposite on page 3. Inset photos of Alex Smith and Gorman are on the pages following the centerfold.
