Special limited-edition "Montreal Classic" wristwatch from the 1996 closing of the Montreal Forum commemorates the Canadiens' holy trinity of Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau and Guy Lafleur. This watch was presented to the late Denis Brodeur. It is numbered "0014/1924" as is the 8x10 photo of the three Habs icons holding aloft the Stanley Cup. The Rocket, Gros Bill and Flower have each signed in gold paint pen with a French notation to Brodeur across the top. A Hall of Fame puck signed by all three in gold paint pen has the "0014-1924" limited-edition notation on the reverse. The face of the wristwatch bears the images of Richard, Beliveau and Lafleur over the Forum’s outer façade. The facsimile autographs of all three are displayed on the back plate along with the limited edition number. There is a diagonal red mark on the back plate. This special “Montreal Classic” limited edition wristwatch comes with documentation from the presentation of the watch that is housed in a HHOF kit, a leatherette zipper-closure sleeve with the three Canadiens greats facsimile signatures embossed on the cover that also contains the multi-signed photo.
The gold paint pen notation on the multi-signed Richard, Beliveau and Lafleur photo reads, “To Denis Brodeur, to a friend and the best photographer”. The photo has the limited edition “0014-1924” in the bottom right corner and it is laminated in plastic.
