Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2014

Nothing like a grand old stick once used by Jean Beliveau in the 1950s and gloves that also once belonged to Le Gros Bill. The C.C.M. "Professional" has it all – the original black tape job on the blade, the defined white tape over black on the knob, with Habs stick supplier "Raymond Hardware Ltd." stamped on the upper shaft. This Beliveau gamer shows nice game marks stretching from the top to bottom, the blade has a small aging crack, the three blue strips on the shaft are intact, and near the top of the shaft is stamped "Beliveau 4". Also offered are Big Jean's "Reach" gloves, gifted to Brit Selby in the circa mid-1950s, with a photo of Jean wearing Reach gloves in the '57-'58 season. All this, with a Jackie Leclair game-used stick included. With Selby's LOA. Beliveau's Reach gloves have several holes in each palm, and number "4" is penned in green ink on both gloves. Major scuffing has occurred on both. On Mr. Beliveau's stick is a handwritten "Jean Beliveau" but this is not his signature. Brit Selby has also written his name on the shaft. The game-used Jackie Leclair stick has the “Raymond” and “Leclair” stamps on the upper shaft, and the stick features original tape on both blade and knob. Payers' names are handwritten along the shaft, but please note, these aren't actual players signatures.
