What a stunning ensemble from the 1956 Global World Series held in New York when Team Canada, represented by the North Battleford, Saskatchewan Beavers with legendary NHLer Emile Francis at the helm. Canada was a finalist in this international tourney. Offered is this wonderful flannel game-worn jersey and pants from an unknown North Battleford player who wore number 11 during the series. Uniform is cream-coloured, with the zippered jersey featuring red and blue double-twill felt lettering with "Canada" across the chest and "11" sewn on the back. Classic white and blue piping line both the jersey and pants, and the iconic Canadian Red Ensign and U.S. flag crest adorns the sleeve. Small Kyle Bros. tags can be found within the collar and waistband, along with a faded size tag. A cool piece of Canada's baseball history. The garments show no repairs or alterations, with three small holes found under the left armpit. Along with an accompaning photocopy of the '56 Beavers squad included, this ensemble is a true baseball treasure from nearly sixty years ago.
