Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
In May of 1999, defenceman Steve Chiasson was killed in an automobile accident while a member of the Carolina Hurricanes, and it was while he was a Detroit Red Wing during the late-1980s that he wore this Wings game-used white knit CCM/Eastside jersey, signed on the back by the man himself. Sewn in the collar is an "Eastside Team Sports" label, with this gamer showing plenty of game wear, including marks scattered throughout, board burns noticeable on the left sleeve, a couple of unrepaired holes on the right sleeve, some red paint transfer on the inner hem, along with inner pilling. Mr. Chiasson's autograph is in nice black marker on the back. A bittersweet memento from a man who was a fine NHLer. Comes with an LOA.
