It's not just a nice vintage-signed Gordie Howe photo, it's the nicest we've seen! From the famed Turofsky Alexandra studios in Toronto, this Gordie Howe classic 8" x 10" black and white photo features a nice, clean, and bold signature, vintage-signed in blue fountain pen, and wonderfully positioned to Howe's right with a nice light background which highlights the signature in fine fashion. The photo itself, in great condition with no marks or tears, is an absolute delight, as it's the same image Parkhurst used for Howe's 1952-53 hockey card as well as his Group Two Bee Hive photo. On the back is the Turofsky Studio stamp, along with a typed lowdown on Howe stating "Gordon Howe, Born Floral Sask., March 31 1928, R. Wing 6. 200". Brothers Lou and Nat Turofsky were legendary Toronto photographers who shot memorable images over the years, often of sporting figures and action shots, and it was Nat Turofsky who captured Bill Barilko's 1951 Stanley Cup winning goal in which has become an iconic hockey photo. With the Turofsky Howe photo and the accompanying autograph, it adds up to a winning combination.
