Fantastic vintage rookie era Martin Brodeur hockey jersey was worn by the future Hall-of-Famer in 1992 when he took part in Vladislav Tretiak's goalie school. This white mesh "Tretiak 20" jersey has "Brodeur" heat pressed in red vinyl onto the back of the jersey. The #29 that Martin wore at the outset of his NHL career in 1991-92 when he played five games with the New Jersey Devils, including his playoff debut, is heat pressed in blue and red vinyl on the back and both sleeves. A goalie stick with "Tretiak" on the blade is screened onto the front along with the great Soviet goalie's #20. Brodeur attended the camp in suburban Montreal annually throughout his teens and his father, Denis, an Olympic goalie himself, credited Tretiak's school for helping develop Martin into the goalie who would ultimately surpass Patrick Roy's all-time wins record and Terry Sawchuk's long-held career shutout mark. Jersey is style matched to a photo from the 1992 camp that shows Marty wearing his green-red-and-white Devils gear while helping refine a young goalie's technique. Great wear here with significant sweat stains in the front of the v-neck collar. A fantastic piece from the dawn of the NHL career of arguably the greatest goaltender to ever play the game.
