Sidney Crosby broke into the NHL with a resounding bang, scoring over 100 points in his first campaign. He upped the total to 120 in his sophomore season and once again broke the century mark this past 2008-09 regular season. Sidney wore this charming captain's jersey during a spectacular special appearance in Stockholm, Sweden as the Pittsburgh Penguins took on the Ottawa Senators much to the delight of the international crowd. Best is the Commemorative Stockholm NHL Premiere patch sewn on the right breast with the series date "4-5 October, 2008" noted. Sid's "C" is there on the opposite side and the team's "Stockholm, Oct. 4-5, 2008" set tag affixed inside the lower hem sporting the facsimile sig of equipment man Dana Heinze. Evidence of game use is light, but obvious, and includes about eight blatant black stick marks on the left sleeve with more light wear apparent on the back numbers. The fight strap in the tail has also been hand-signed in black Sharpie by Heinze. What a piece to own as Crosby's exhilarating career unfolds! Comes with a letter of authenticity on Pittsburgh Penguins letter head signed by Dana Heinze and another team official that reads, in part: "only worn for the Oct. 5 game vs. Ottawa in Stockholm". Addendum The jersey has been photomatched.
