Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021

Posting three consecutive 40-goal seasons in Toronto with the Maple Leafs, Lanny McDonald was selected 4th overall by the blue and white in 1973, and spent seven seasons in Ontario before his trade to Colorado in 1979 was denounced by Leafs fans with a protest at MLG. This signed Maple Leafs jersey was worn by McDonald at an oldtimers contest during the 1990s. A Maska label with handwritten “7” and “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic Leafs team crest in tackle twill, “7” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Surprisingly, the desirable King Clancy Memorial patch normally found on Leafs jerseys from the 1986-87 season is affixed just above the right breast. Sporting light game-use with a few marks visible, McDonald has signed the reverse in blue marker, adding “HHOF 92”. Hailing directly from his personal collection, a signed LOA from Lanny McDonald will accompany.
