Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Held at the Met Center in front of just over 15,000 spectators, the 1972 NHL All-Star Game was the 25th anniversary of the event, with the East Division All-Stars defeating the West 3–2, with Bobby Orr named the game's most valuable player. We have a ring that was presented to HOF superstar and second period goal-scorer Jean Ratelle for his participation. Size 5 ½” with an approx. weight of 23 grams, an oval blue stone sits mounted, with an NHL shield logo on one side, along with a second shield logo with “All Star 1972” on the other. Stamped "14K O-S" and "LX" on the inner band along with Ratelle’s engraved initials of "J.R.", the ring exhibits moderate wear to the full length of the band including edges, with some minor scratching throughout. A signed LOA from Mr. Ratelle will accompany this desirable ring.
