In his last season with the BAR Honda team Jacques managed 6 top 10 finishes with a best placing of 6th at the Italian and Brazilian GP’s. This relegated him to 16th overall in the 2003 World Championship.
Jacques wore this Bell K-1 helmet during two Grand Prix weekends and it has been photo-matched to both the Brazilian Grand Prix where he finished 6th, his best placing of the season, as well as the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola where he failed to finish after engine trouble on lap 19. The helmet painted by Bell Racing Europe in Jacques' traditional paint scheme has been tagged 2003-4 and has had the flags of both San Marino and Brazil added to the back to signify where the helmet was worn. The helmet has all of Jacques’ customizations, vents are closed-off, extra eye-port foam has been added, the Hans Clips and full race radio as well remain intact. The helmet shows very nice wear with a number of small chips in the paint and three tear-offs still remain on the race visor and Villeneuve applied his signature on the top one. Also included is the original Bell carrying bag with “J.V. 03-04” handwritten annotations and which is missing one of its carrying strap. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
