Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Jacques Villeneuve wore this custom-made Sparco fire suit during the 2001 F1 Championship season for non-tobacco events. The suit is tagged in the front zipper by the factory “JV-021-01-D", this coding breaks down to mean it was the 21st suit made for Jacques during the 2001 season. Handwritten information on tagging in the collar includes "Villeneuve", the date of manufacturing "21-05-01" and reference number "21". Sparco manufactured the suit without any Lucky Strike lettering but instead uses the play on words “Look Alike” and the traditional Lucky Strike red and black circle instead and has "J. Villeneuve" and the Canadian flag sewn into the belt. Jacques has applied his signature on the upper left breast area of the suit. This item is from Jacques Villeneuve’s personal collection and will come with his signed LOA.
