This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Defeating the Kelowna Packers four games to three to claim the 1958 Allan Cup, the Belleville McFarlands then represented Canada on the international scale, defeating the Soviets to claim gold at the 1959 World Championships in Czechoslovakia. We have a 1959 World Championships Team Canada 10K gold ring that was presented to tournament scoring leader Red Berenson. Size 9 ½ with a weight of 13 grams, a raised “GB” sits centralized over the tableau, encompassed by “1959 World Hockey Championships” and “Belleville McFarlands”. Each shank feature’s a crossed hockey sticks with puck motif, set atop a textured background, with the inner band stamped “10K” and “Charme”. Exhibiting next to no wear, the ring remains in gorgeous condition. A signed LOA from Red Berenson will accompany.
We should note that this ring was previously mounted to a charm bracelet with a small eyelet mounted on the back inner band, with this professionally removed by a jeweler.
