This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
There was only one Mr. Hockey, but there are eight Gordie Howe signed pucks in this lot of 17 pucks with the late, great Gordie as the common theme. The best finds here include a 1960s “Original Six” era Detroit Red Wings game puck and a 1975-76 WHA Houston Aeros Art Ross game puck, each signed “Gordie Howe 9” in silver paint pen, and a Gordie Howe Goal No. 600 puck signed along with an “11-27-65” date notation in gold paint pen. Gordie has signed in silver paint pen on 1991-92 NHL 75th Anniversary and 1992-93 Stanley Cup Centennial NHL InGlasCo game pucks, and with sons Mark and Marty on a Hartford Whalers puck. Two other signed pucks are included along with nine Howe-themed pucks.
The 1960s signed Red Wings puck has a couple of chips missing from the bottom edge of the NHL rubberized reverse (Howe has signed above the Red Wings logo on the face).
The other two signed pucks are a Gordie Howe, One Man-Six Decades, 1946-1997, October 3, 1997 The Palace of Auburn Hills puck and a Lumber Jack puck, each signed by Gordie in black marker.
The remaining pucks include:
Hockey’s Living Legend, Gordie Howe, 50th Birthday, March 31, 1978 New England Whalers puck;
I Celebrated Gordie Howe’s 50th Birthday, March 31, 1978 puck;
