Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
A Calder Memorial finalist after his inaugural NHL season with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1992-93, goaltender Felix Potvin first spent three successful seasons in the Q with Chicoutimi, with this preceded by his time in Midget AAA with the QMAAA Montreal-Bourassa Canadien as a teenager. From his personal collection, we have the Canadien jersey worn by Potvin with the club in 1987-88. A Maska Ultrafil label and born-on date tag of “86 07” are affixed to the collar, with the jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 52. Featuring a heat-pressed team crest and numbers with “Potvin” across the sewn nameplate in matching material, there is also a Midget patch over the left shoulder and evidence of a former nameplate. Sporting heavy game use with considerable wear to the material, there is a team repair on the lower front, with the team crest and numbers all showing varying amounts of peeling to the heat-pressed vinyl. A signed LOA from Felix Potvin will accompany.
