Losing a mere eighteen matches including just five in front of the home supporters at Northlands Coliseum, the Edmonton Oilers finished first overall at the conclusion of the 1983-84 season, with league MVP Wayne Gretzky leading the club to their first Stanley Cup championship. This gorgeous ring was produced by the Oilers in the 1990s for team dentist Dr. Brian Nord at his request. Size 10 ½ with an approximate weight of 22 grams, a gold-coloured Oilers logo sits centered over an oval blue stone, encompassed by “Stanley Cup Champions” and “83-84” in raised and angled letters. The right shank has an image of Northlands Coliseum engraved, with “Nord” above and “DDS” below (Doctor of Dental Surgery), while the left feature’s an engraved image of Lord Stanley’s hardware, with “Edmonton” above. The inner band has been stamped "Jostens 10K". The ring displays wonderfully, with pronounced wear throughout including scratches over the outer band and shanks, with some minor dings along edges.
