Affiliates of both the Tampa Bay Lightning and Ottawa Senators at points, the Detroit Vipers skated for 7 seasons in the IHL from 1994-2001. Playing out of The Palace of Auburn Hills, the Vipers won 4 division championships along with a Turner Cup in 1997. We have a neat group of Vipers items available totaling 9, including signed examples. First, we have an inaugural season stick with a solid black finish along with “Detroit Vipers Inaugural Season 1994-95” in gold, and it’s been signed across the blade by the club’s leading scorer that season, Peter Ciavaglia. The stick and signature both remain in excellent condition. Next, we have three tickets including a pair of stubs, along with an example from the very first game ever played by the franchise on Sept 30th 1994 vs Cleveland. The stubs both originate from game 1 of the season on Oct 3rd 1997, a tilt against the Blues, with all three examples exhibiting wear. There is also a facsimile/commemorative ticket profiling Gordie Howe’s single game with the club in 1997. This is followed by a mini-stick with Vipers graphics that has been signed by at least 6, with heavy wear to a few signatures, along with three individually signed Viper pucks featuring an example signed by Miroslav Satan. Lastly, we have a Vipers Pro Wear replica jersey still sealed in its original bag.
