Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Augmented with Russian talent throughout the 1990s/2000s and a huge component to their success, we have a collection of five sticks, with each used by a Russian star while plying his trade with the Detroit Red Wings. Included, we have Easton models used by Sergei Fedorov, Slava Kozlov, Vladimir Konstantinov and Slava Fetisov, along with a Louisville stick used by Igor Larionov. Each stick feature’s the player’s name on the shaft or inserted stick blade, with the Kozlov stick actually an Yzerman model. Each stick also sports the original tape job on the blade and handle (no tape on the blade of the Fetisov stick), with the Fedorov and Konstantinov sticks signed across the blades with dedications.
The Konstantinov stick has his name over the inserted blade stem and shows heavy use, with a crack to the underside of the blade, and a black marker signature over the front side of the blade along with a dedication. A JSA sticker numbered “X81392” has also been placed over the lower shaft. The Fetisov has his name over the inserted blade stem and shows light use, with a hologram added on the underside of the shaft (with COA included). Next, the Larionov has his name over the upper shaft, with just a single piece of tape along the bottom edge of the blade, with light use exhibited, and a hologram over the lower shaft. This is followed by the Yzerman model used by Kozlov, with “13” handwritten over the handle tape and light to moderate use exhibited, with wear to the taped section of blade and marks/abrasions to the lower shaft. Finally, the Fedorov stick has his name over the inserted blade stem along with “9” handwritten over the handle, with moderate use showing, with wear to the blade and marks and paint transfer to the top of the blade and shaft, along with spongy residue left over two parts of the shaft, most likely from a former mounting.
